Why do families enroll their preschool, elementary, and middle school children at St. Richard's? The answer is simple: families want their children to be nurtured in a supportive community, developing a strong sense of belonging while they are being prepared to lead lives with integrity, wisdom, and joy. St. Richard's students learn through immersive experiences and partnerships that connect them to the world and to each other. Tuition Rates for 2026-2027

We are so grateful for our Dragon families and the special community we have here at St. Richard's Episcopal School! Many of our classrooms are currently at capacity, so we may need to employ a waitlist process. We encourage you to complete the enrollment contract by the stated deadline, and we look forward to learning and growing together.

Early Childhood Tuition

St. Richard's offers three attendance options for Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten:

Part-time, half-day option: Monday through Friday, from 8:00am through 1:00pm - $13,730
Part-time, 4-day option: Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 3:20pm - $17,600
Full time option: Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:20pm - $22,030

Kindergarten is offered as a full 5-day week, from 8:00am to 3:20pm daily - $22,030

Tuition covers lunch and snacks, before-school care (beginning at 7:00 am) and extended day (through 6:00 pm), field experiences, and "specials classes" such as music, French language, library, Godly play, physical education, and STEAM. Each preschool classroom has a teacher and teaching assistant. Students wear a St. Richard's uniform (school polo and gray bottoms) in junior kindergarten and kindergarten.

Lower Division Tuition

Lower Division comprises Grades 1 through 4. Tuition is $22,030 for the 2026-2027 school year.

Tuition covers lunch and snacks, field experiences, and "specials classes" such as art, music, French language, library, divinity, physical education, technology and STEAM.

School hours for Lower Division are 8:00am to 3:20pm. Before care (beginning at 7:00 am), extended day (until 6:00 pm), enrichment classes, and holiday care are provided for an additional fee. Lower Division classrooms have a lead teacher, with shared teaching assistants across grade levels. Students wear a St. Richard's uniform (jumpers, ties, and blazers) for class time. Beginning in Grade 3, students change into a gym uniform for PE class. The Grade 1 milestone of donning the St. Richard's blazer is celebrated at the start of each school year in our Buddies and Blazers ceremony, with their Grade 8 buddies.

Middle Division Tuition

For the 2026-2027 school year, tuition for Grades 5 through 7 is $22,890 and for Grade 8 is $24,830. The additional tuition cost for Grade 8 includes the capstone trip to Washington, D.C.

Tuition covers lunch, field experiences, an individual locker, and extra-curricular clubs. School hours for Middle Division are 8:00am to 3:20pm. Before care (beginning at 7:00 am), extended care (until 6:00 pm), enrichment classes, and holiday care are provided for an additional fee.

Middle Division students change classes throughout the day, including "specials classes" of art, music, divinity, physical education, technology and STEAM, Latin language class, and a choice of continuing with French or beginning Spanish. Students wear a St. Richard's uniform (kilts, ties, and blazers) and a PE uniform.

St. Richard's is a special school. We were not considering private school, but some friends encouraged us to try it while our kids were in preschool. The school has exceeded our expectations. Who is Eligible for Financial Aid?

The St. Richard's Episcopal School's Financial Assistance program is designed to make a St. Richard's education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. St. Richard's is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family's level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which include assets, income, expenses, and debts.

Financial assistance is granted based on demonstrated need. St. Richard’s provided $810,000 in financial assistance to families in 2024-2025. Upon acceptance to St. Richard's Episcopal School, the Business Office will contact you to determine if an award will be provided. St. Richard's Episcopal School does not participate in the Indiana school voucher program.

How Do I Apply for Financial Aid?

Financial Aid Applications must be completed for each school year. Contact the Admissions Office or Business Office to confirm the deadline.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application.
