Clubs and Enrichment Offerings
St. Richard’s Episcopal School is committed to providing a variety of enrichment opportunities that expand and enrich student life outside the classroom.

Student Government Association
Involvement in the Middle Division Student Government Association (SGA) is available to students in Grades 5 through 8, although its activities are aimed at benefitting the entire school population. The SGA is composed of a four-student executive committee and 16 at-large members (two from each homeroom class). SGA meetings are held monthly during lunch or recess to discuss relevant issues. Some examples of SGA discussions include:
- Addressing concerns from the student body
- Planning upcoming dances,
- Coordinating fundraisers,
- Creating community service opportunities
- Developing student leadership opportunities
Enrichment Courses
St. Richard's carefully chooses a wide variety of after-school programs that engage the diverse interests of our students. These programs are taught by St. Richard's faculty or by our trusted partners. Enrichment activities change each semester and are offered on campus, immediately after school, allowing students the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities without the need for families to coordinate additional transportation. St. Richard's families register for enrichment courses through the Family Portal at the start of each semester. Examples of enrichment programs:
-
Math
- Art
- Board games
- Cooking classes
- Handwriting Without Tears
- French
- Swim lessons (Early Childhood students)
- Private music lessons (piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice)
Scouts
St. Richard's serves as the charter organization for Cub Scout Pack 747 (K to Grade 5) and Scout Troop 180/360 (Grade 6 to 18 years old). All students (boys & girls) are invited to join. Meetings are held on Sunday afternoons at St. Richard's. Cub Scouts experience the Raingutter Regatta & the Pinewood Derby as well as hikes, museum visits, and day camp. Scouts learn first-aid, cooking, communication, leadership, and outdoor skills and participate in multiple camp-outs, including a week-long summer camp. All scouts participate in service projects throughout the year. Since 2009, Scout Troop 180/360 has produced 42+ Eagle Scouts, and we are dedicated to guiding all our scouts on the journey to Eagle.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact Cubmaster Anna Riley (mother of Grade 5 student) OR Scoutmaster Alex Hoogestraat (mother of Grade 8 student).
