Middle Division Student Government Association

Involvement in the Student Government Association (SGA) is available to students in Grades 5 through 8, although its activities are aimed at benefitting the entire school population. The SGA is comprised of a four-student executive committee and 16 at-large members (two from each homeroom class). SGA meetings are held monthly during lunch or recess to discuss relevant issues. Some examples include concerns from the student body, upcoming dances, fundraisers, community service opportunities, and student leadership opportunities.

Enrichments

St. Richard's carefully chooses a wide variety of after school that engage the diverse interests of our students. These enrichment activities involve contracts with outside sources and change each semester. Some examples: French, art and play, Crouching Tigers, gymnastics, karate, yoga, Harry Potter, Kids in the Kitchen, and creative writing with Professor Watermelon. Early Childhood enrichment offerings also include weekly swim lessons.

Additional enrichment opportunities, such as private piano and ukelele lessons, are also available for students at all grade levels. Please contact Mrs. Nikeesha Pittman with questions.

Cub Scout Pack 747

St. Richard's serves as the charter organization for Cub Scout Pack 747 and Scout Troops 180 and 360. We are always looking for more scouts to join our ranks. Since 2009 Scout Troop 180 has produced 41 Eagle Scouts and we are dedicated to guiding all our scouts on the journey to Eagle. In 2024 St. Richard's officially chartered Troop 360 for girls, allowing us to provide opportunities in scouting to all students. Please read our Letter to Prospective Families to learn more.           .
