St. Richard's has many beloved traditions that enrich our community spirit. Knowing that alumni, families and loved ones are often spread far and wide, we offer livestream events to include these far-flung friends.

Buddy & Blazer Ceremony 

The green blazer has consistently been part of St. Richard’s uniform since its founding in 1960 and remains a distinctive mark of the school and its students, and today we celebrate that tradition as Grade 1 and 8 are paired as buddies for the 2026-2027 school year. Today’s ceremony marks a joyful rite of passage for our Grade 1 students, who will don their blazers for the first time. Simultaneously, our Grade 8 students take on greater responsibility as a gentle leader and guide to the younger students. 

The livestream feed will begin 3-5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the event.
