Alison Boerger

Mrs. Alison Boerger joined St. Richard’s Episcopal School in 2012 to teach Junior Kindergarten.

Alison previously taught Kindergarten and 3rd Grade in the Plainfield Community Schools Corporation, preschool, and kindergarten at a Montessori preschool in Indianapolis and most recently was an assistant teacher at The Children’s Corner Preschool at St. Paul’s. She also worked as a babysitter in Trinity Episcopal Church’s nursery and Breakfast Club on Sunday mornings.

She was raised in Scotland and came to the United States to study education at the University of Indianapolis, where she received a BA degree in elementary education with a kindergarten endorsement and French minor. Later, she also earned a master's degree from Indiana University in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood education.

Alison lives in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood of Indianapolis with her husband, Peter, and enjoys making college visits to see her son Christopher. Alison loves traveling in the US and back to Scotland in the summer. She also enjoys hiking, swimming, bicycling, reading, and going to the theater and symphony. Being with young children and participating in their curiosity gives Alison great joy!
